"Want to know when to visit? Check out the Lake Garda Weather Chart & Forecast"
The Lake Garda weather is one of it's many attractions. Especially from May to October, the weather is generally
warm and pleasant with lots of sun! Sometimes in July and August particularly the temperatures can get very high and you will
be glad that there are many spots to enjoy the lakeside breeze. Why not just go into the Lake and cool off properly when you get too hot! The water
is so clean here and also the average seasonal water temperatures might look quite low, but bear in mind there are many shallower and more
sheltered parts to the lake where the water is much warmer. We have been in the Lake in May around the town of Garda and it was quite pleasant
and certainly warm enough for most people.
The Lake Garda weather in the winter time is obviously a lot colder. However the location of the lake up to and in between the mountains means that this area
is actually shielded from the worst of the weather and is warmer than other surrounding areas. Spring and Autumn can experience some
spells of higher rainfall but can also be pleasant for those who do not enjoy the very hot temperatures, which can get up to 40 degrees celsius
in the summer! The vegetation is very lush around Lake Garda and the rainfall which you can get earlier and later in the year helps to
preserve all the beautiful plants you can see all around here.

Please remember that these temperatures are just average figures and can of course vary. In our experience, the temperature figures seem as bit pessimistic as it has been nearly always hotter than the average shown. Maybe it's something to do with global warming!

"Hi. Just a quick word of thanks for the site, which was a marvellous resource in planning my trip to Malcesine. The ferry timetables were useful for planning trips around the Lake (I went to Riva and Limone) and the breadth of information available is fantastic. Thank you."
