Traditional home cooking at Lake Garda

I have just finished reading Mathew Fort, English food writer`s account of his scooter journey through Italy in search of good food in his book EATING UP ITALY.

I will be in Piovere at Lake Garda in July and am looking for a list of restaurants/eateries that are traditional and serve home cooked style meals -preferrably run by a family.
Please help me with such a list if possible. We will travel by car as long as it is not too far from Piovere.

I am heading out to Garda on Monday, just stopping for lunch and was looking for somewhere too - I am going in search of this one as it sounds fabulous

Trattoria Riolet

A lovely rustic trattoria and a Meadows family favourite. Pasta and grill featuring fresh fish from the lake. The terrace has wonderful lake views.

Home Cooking at Lake Garda

I find the small family run hotels that have restaurants to be a good bet for Italian peasant type home-cooked meals.
Two that come to mind are the Hotel San Marco in Maderno and the Hotel Europa in Desenzano.

There is a restaurant in Sopra Fasano with a magnificent view of Lake Garda that serves this kind of food, too. Although I do not recall the name, I fondly recall the food!
